Wild Bill in Snow

Wild Bill Hickok found his place in Shawnee on Tuesday, January 24 when he was installed at Trail Scout Park. Local artist Maretta Kennedy has been hard at work sculpting this 13-foot tall, 2300 pound sculpture!

Bill Hickok plays an important part in Shawnee's history. To learn all about it, head to Trail Scout Park, located near the northeast corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Nieman Road.

Thank you to our hardworking staff for taking the time to ensure this installation ran smoothly. We are so excited for Bill to "wave" you westward as you enter Shawnee!
